Police seize large quantities of drugs in Imereti, two Ukrainian citizens arrested

Officers of the Imereti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia arrested Ukrainian citizens: V.M., born in 2000, and N.U., born in the same year, on charges of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage and sale of large and especially large quantities of drugs.

“During the search of the personal and temporary residences of the accused, as well as during the investigative experiment, law enforcement officers seized a large quantity of the drug “Methadone” and materials necessary for packaging the drug as evidence from the places indicated by them.

The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 260-four of the Criminal Code, which provides for up to 20 years of imprisonment or life imprisonment,” the MIA said in a statement.
