Givi Mikanadze met with parents of students from public schools in Imereti region
The Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Givi Mikanadze, held a meeting with parents of students from public schools in the city of Zestaponi.
The Minister provided parents with detailed information about the progress of the general and higher education reform and discussed with them the initiatives to be implemented within the framework of the reform.
Givi Mikanadze focused on issues related to school uniforms, improving the content of textbooks, strengthening vocational education and ensuring free education at state universities.
The meeting continued in a question-and-answer format and parents were given the opportunity to receive detailed information from the Minister on topics important to them.
Parents of students from public schools in Zestaponi, Terjola, Baghdati, Kharagauli and Tkibuli municipalities participated in the meeting.
The meeting was attended by the State Representative of the Imereti Region Levan Zalkaliani, the delegate of the Tkibuli, Terjola, Zestaponi and Bagdati municipalities Zviad Shalamberidze, the Mayor of Zestaponi Municipality Vakhtang Gambashidze, the Chairman of the Zestaponi Municipality Sakrebulo Malkhaz Shergelashvili and the Deputy Representative of the Imereti Region Giorgi Dalakishvili.
