Ilham Aliyev's visit to Georgia has begun

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev paid a state visit to Georgia.

An official welcoming ceremony for Ilham Aliyev was held at the Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport.

The President of Azerbaijan was met at the airport by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Maka Bochorishvili.

Within the framework of the state visit, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan will meet with the President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

An official welcoming ceremony for the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be held at the Presidential Palace of Georgia, after which a face-to-face meeting between Mikheil Kavelashvili and Ilham Aliyev is planned.

The Prime Minister of Georgia will host the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the Government Administration. Irakli Kobakhidze and Ilham Aliyev will hold meetings in both face-to-face and expanded formats, after which the leaders will make joint statements to the media.

As part of his state visit to Georgia, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan will lay a wreath at the Heroes' Memorial in Heroes' Square and pay tribute to the memory of the national leader of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev.
