Iran's state broadcaster releases 10-point plan for conditional ceasefire
The BBC, citing Iranian media, has published a 10-point plan for a conditional ceasefire developed by Tehran.
Iran's state broadcaster has released a 10-point plan for a conditional ceasefire, which, according to them, envisages a cessation of hostilities in the region and the lifting of restrictions imposed on Iran.
According to the information, the plan includes a complete cessation of hostilities in Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen, as well as a permanent end to military operations against Iran, without specifying a deadline.
In addition, the document talks about the complete end of all conflicts in the region, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the establishment of a special protocol and conditions to ensure freedom and security of navigation there.
According to the plan, Iran also demands full compensation for reconstruction costs, the complete lifting of sanctions imposed against it, and the release of Iranian funds and assets frozen by the US.
According to one of the points of the document, Iran fully commits not to seek to possess nuclear weapons.
According to the Iranian state broadcaster, if the above conditions are approved, a ceasefire will come into effect on all fronts immediately.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that the US had received a 10-point proposal from Iran, which is the basis for negotiations. The Iranian side noted that negotiations with the US would begin on Friday in the Pakistani capital Islamabad.
