If the “Georgian Dream” has to be replaced, and naturally it will have to be at some point, it will definitely be replaced by national forces again - Guram Macharashvili
The population of both Hungary and Georgia may decide to replace the government, but I assure you, in neither case will it be the “National Movement” nor their parties. These will be national forces, - Guram Macharashvili, a deputy of the “People’s Power”, stated this while speaking about the opposition.
“If you mean the “National Movement” and its fragmented parties, they have no scenario or plan. They themselves say this. They can neither organize a revolution nor win elections, because in both cases they need the support of the public. They themselves admit that these people stand on a narrative that is unacceptable to Georgian society, despite political support.
The example of Hungary is not even worth citing here. In general, Mr. Magyar's political beliefs 2-3 years ago were exactly the same as those of Orban, and they remain the same now. There was simply a political confrontation and the Hungarian society again chose a conservative force, but in a different direction. This is it and this.
The Hungarian society did not choose a force that would come out and say, "Long live the LGBT direction, we will organize gay parades in Hungary, we will confront Russia," etc.
Magyar talks about negotiations with Russia, also about the conservative direction, about friendship with Georgia, etc. So, whether it is Chergoleishvili or someone else, I cannot say what they see in their dreams, but the "National Movement" is as different as day and night from the Magyar party, based on their principled approaches.
"If the Georgian Dream has to be replaced, and naturally it will have to be at some point, it will definitely be replaced by national forces. The population of both Hungary and Georgia may decide to replace the government, but I assure you, in neither case will it be the National Movement or their parties. These will be national forces," Macharashvili said.
