Businessman Temur Ugulava has died
Businessman Temur Ugulava has died at the age of 56. According to reports, the businessman had been battling a serious illness in recent times and died in the United States.
His name is associated with the creation of a number of projects in Georgia,
Temur Ugulava founded the "Adjara Group", which unites one of the largest hotel chains in Georgia, the group created the Georgian brands "Rooms" and "Stamba". The group also manages the Tbilisi "Holiday Inn". Also, "Adjara Group" manages the Tbilisi Sports Palace.
Among the holding's projects are "Radio City" and "Fabrik", as well as the coworking space D Block. In the agricultural sector, the group owns the company "Udabno", which manages one of the largest almond orchards in the country.
For years, Adjara Group has operated the largest online gambling company in Georgia, the casino and bookmaker Adjara, and Adjarabet, which was acquired by Flutter Entertainment in 2019 in one of the largest deals in Georgian business. In addition, Temur Ugulava created the Aviator brand in the gambling sector.
Among the projects implemented by businessman Temur Ugulava are sports television and the platform Setanta, which broadcasts in several countries. As well as the online shopping platform Veli Store and the scooter rental application Scroll.
