There is an anti-Georgian union operating in Georgia, which acts against national interests - Gia Volski

According to the statement of the First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Gia Volski, the unfounded opinions spread that Georgia is connected to Iran and China and that is why the European Union does not protect the country's interests are harmful propaganda for Georgia.

As Volski noted in a conversation with journalists, there is a suspicion that certain forces are interested in the emergence of a "red line" between the European Union and Georgia, which, in his opinion, serves the interests of Russia.

According to him, the "National Movement" also acted in favor of Russian interests during its time in power, despite its own rhetoric, and this party was supported by the "European People's Party".

According to Volski, there is a "serious conspiracy" and an "anti-Georgian union", which, in his opinion, supported the occupier in various directions and continues to do the same today. He expressed hope that this process may be going on unnoticed and its participants will “wake up” in the future.

According to the First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, the Georgian government is accused of being pro-Russian, however, in his assessment, the government has not taken any steps that would give Russia an advantage over Georgia.

Volsky also stated that imposing sanctions on Georgia is tantamount to “plunging the country into an irreversible process of destruction.” According to his assessment, the government’s opponents and the media associated with them are acting against national interests and thereby giving Russia the opportunity to implement its own policy.
