Georgia's economy grew by 8.8% in February - Geostat
According to the National Statistics Service of Georgia, according to preliminary estimates, in February 2026, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the growth of real gross domestic product (GDP) amounted to 8.8%, while the average rate for January-February is 8.4%.
As stated in the information released by Geostat, in February 2026, compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the following sectors made a significant contribution to growth: information and communication, transport and storage, financial and insurance activities, manufacturing, and mining.
According to them, a downward trend was observed in the construction and energy sectors.
