US-Iran talks to take place in Pakistan today, April 11.

US Vice President JD Vance has already left for Islamabad, where US and Iranian delegations will meet.

Vance was met by Pakistan's army chief Asim Munir, Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and US Chargé d'Affaires in Islamabad Natalie Baker.

The talks could ultimately determine whether a fragile two-week ceasefire will hold if the region plunges into renewed conflict.

CNN, citing a source, says the parties will agree on an agenda for the Pakistan-brokered talks and then continue the meeting face-to-face.

The American delegation includes special envoys Steve Whitkoff and Jared Kushner, as well as representatives from the National Security Council, the State Department and the Pentagon.

According to Iranian media, the country's delegation consists of 71 people, and is headed by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. The delegation also includes Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
